COSTANZA STARRABBA X MR WINSTON

COSTANZA STARRABBA X MR WINSTON
In January of last year, we came across via Instagram the works of Italian Illustrator Costanza Starrabba. Costanza’s work was recognized and later commissioned by Off-White to create the first Italian stage of their international project dedicated to female creativity. The result was a mural devoted to her take on Off-White’s new ‘burrow bag’, at the columns of San Lorenzo, Milan. We loved the style of Costanza’s abstract works, and her take the on the female form seen through her work with Off-White. We reached out to Costanza in January and have had this collaboration in development ever since.
We drew similarities between her use of shape & colour and our new design direction, and wanted to find a way to incorporate these into a new direction for Mr Winston. We floated incorporating in some way, our love of Red Cherries. Mostly, we were fascinated by what could come of seeking a fresh take on our designs, from an artist who’s work we so admired from afar. We worked closely alongside Costanza to bring this to life & It's been a privilege to experience collaborating with another young designer. We are so excited for you all to preview this collection.
COSTANZA'S LOCALS MILAN GUIDE

Small bar in Colonne di San Lorenzo. Very famous among young people for the beer and the atmosphere. Perfect place for after work drink.

Bar Picchio is a small place in Porta Venezia.
Always very crowded. It became famous due to the hundreds of images of the people that usually go to this place. They close early and sometimes use a blower to make drunk people go away.

The name means literally "The Artistic Bread Studio '' and is a small shop full of loafs shaped like humans.

Nolo is a new gentrified hood in the north of Milan. The little square in the middle of Nolo is famous because of the ping pong tables and the many matches organised by the people of Nolo.

An historical place where Sbagliato Negroni drink was invented. Famous for the very very very big drinks they sell.
Fancy and elegant as well.

On the opposite side of the street from Bar Basso. Also cheaper from Bar basso. Very original place full of young people and old gamblers at the same time.
